The Catch Up

Hi guys
guess what we have been doing …

well I have now been inside the Sagrada Familia it was amazing with its stained glass windows and cool pillars and on the same day we went to Parc Guell. This famous little place that Gaudi designed there were mosaics everywhere and when we stopped walking for a snack these cute little parrots and they started tacking food out of our hands! It was adorable me and Esther loved it!

  The next day we went this crowded market there I got this tiny cactus and called it Prickles.



That's pretty much all we did  that day but the next  day we went to Cabrera. There we walked to this mountain with Luna's family in Spain. We took there dogs Nuts (Noots) and Pina (piña) it was great. When we got back to there house there we had a play on there trampoline with Lunas cousin Nuria. Then it was lunch time it was delicious but afterwards we had To go.





Next we had to the pick up the car  and drive it to this town were we got a delicious lunch and had a nice play at the beach . We stayed at that town for 4 hours until we had to go.








The next day we went to our next apartment but on the way we went to this place to get our residency cards but we  had accidently missed a file so  we will have to do it another time.  When we got to our apartment we put all our stuff in and we got to relax!

Then the next day we went for a look around town went to this old Greek and Roman city and learnt a lot about Rome.





On the way back I found some crystal thingy and stood on this rock arch. 


There you go. Thats it!

      Hi Astrid,

      Like Esther I really like your blog. Many interesting places and experiences coming thick and fast.
      Does it feel strange to be in a car that is driving on the ‘wrong’ side of the road.
      I am not sure grandma or I would be very good at it!!
      Do you reckon you could draw a map of Spain with your travels on it?
      The you could take a picture and put it on your blog. I would find it very useful 🤪

      no not really it feels normal because me and esther swich sides all the time.

    Hi Astrid. Your photos of inside Sagrada Familia are spectacular! Gaudi was a pretty clever guy 😁 Prickles is cute and Sitges looks very beautiful. I would love to look at the ruins of the Roman city. Sounds like there were a number of civilisations in the area you are staying. It must be a very interesting place. I like Grandpa’s idea of a map. We’ve been following your journey on Google Earth and it’s amazing how many places you’ve already been! We felt a bit queasy seeing you standing on the stone arch 😬 Glad you got down safely. Pippi still isn’t laying but she spends a good deal of time in the nest box so maybe she’s working up to it 😅 Love Nana and Farber xx

      Hi Nana & Farber .yeah he was really cool and so is stiges. yeah heaps. we have been to about 1 city and 5 towns. I think pippi might want to have a baby!

    Hi Astrid ,
    I’m loving reading your blogs and looking at the photos.
    Even though it’s winter there you look like your having great time there getting to know Spain.
    You and Esther must be sooooo fit with all the walking you are doing.
    Has Mummy been showing you the photos of my home improvements?
    Carpets in the bedrooms go in at the end of February then it will be ready for a Hobart winter.
    Looking forward to more of your fantasticly interesting blogs .

Exploring Spain

On Wednesday the 1st we walked to MACBA and to get there we had to walk past the Sagrada Familia again. MACABA is a famous street skate boarding place. We stayed there for a while then we walked down La Rambla a famous street in Spain and it runs down from Placa de Catalunya to the port. So we walked to the port and across a bridge that took us to the other side of the water. There we found some markets where we bought some olives. After that, we went down to the beach where we touched the Mediterranean Sea and played with the rocks. Then walked down the beach and saw some awesome sand sculptures that we weren't allowed to take pictures of. After that we went to a park and met a girl from Italy who we played with for a while before going to another skate park which unfortunately we didn't bring our skate boards to. Then we went home. Montserrat and before

 On Monday the 6th it was Esther's birthday... and Pettie, my aunty had come in two days before to see us! We showed her around the city. She was amazed when she saw the cathedrals and the little alley ways. Next on the list we Esther's birthday but first was the 3 Kings Parade. The people in the parade were amazing, the way they knew what to do and just the way they danced and used their costumes. But it was also from  6 o'clock to 9 o'clock so we had to go to sleep a couple of minutes after it.  The next day I woke up first. Then it was Mummy and Daddy. We silently put the 3 Kings presents in the loungeroom. When Esther and Aunty Pettie woke up, we opened the 3 Kings presents. A soccer ball for Esther and a tennis racquet for me. There were two mystery presents each too. We both got a Sagrada Familia sticker and a bucket of lollies! But the presents weren't done yet. I still had to hide Esther's birthday presents! So Esther and Mummy went outside the apartment...
