Exploring Spain

On Wednesday the 1st we walked to MACBA and to get there we had to walk past the Sagrada Familia again. MACABA is a famous street skate boarding place. We stayed there for a while then we walked down La Rambla a famous street in Spain and it runs down from Placa de Catalunya to the port. So we walked to the port and across a bridge that took us to the other side of the water. There we found some markets where we bought some olives. After that, we went down to the beach where we touched the Mediterranean Sea and played with the rocks. Then walked down the beach and saw some awesome sand sculptures that we weren't allowed to take pictures of. After that we went to a park and met a girl from Italy who we played with for a while before going to another skate park which unfortunately we didn't bring our skate boards to. Then we went home.

The next day we caught the metro for the first time. We took it to a market, then we walked to a special restaurant for lunch. The food was amazing and the restaurant so cool, but the church we went to afterwards was even cooler! It had colour stained glass windows and fantastic carvings. It was fabulous. Then we went to another Cathedral which wasn't as cool but still pretty awesome. Next we went to this place were they sold churros which is kind of this swirly thing that tastes like a doughnut that is in a line and you dip in melted chocolate. It was delicious. But we accidentally ordered 4 cups of chocolate which was a yummy problem! After that we went to MACBA again. And Esther had a little skate. Then we went home the end.

  6. Hi Astrid,

You are doing amazing things at a very fast pace over there. Seems to Grandma and me that you have acclimatised to Spanish time really well.
Have you spoken to anyone in Spanish yet? Might be a bit hard at first I reckon!
Back here the work on the house continues. Seems never ending. Yesterday while cleaning the driveway a man pulled up in a little truck, took out a yellow sign and mounted it to star pickets. It says coming soon. I find that to be an odd sign given the house has been here for 100 years.

    Lots of love
