Apartments

On Saturday the 18th we hopped in the car and we drove to a town called Begur. There are lots of nice beaches near Begur so we went on a mission to find some! To get to one of them we decided to walk. It was huge and it took for AGES. We must have gotten lost on the way because we ended up going on this really steep, slippery and spikey track! It took us ages to figure out where we were but eventually we got to the beach. BUT when we got there, it was high tide and all the waves were coming onto the beach! We couldn't stay long. We all walked on for a little bit but we decided that we were too tired and hungry (it was nearly 4pm and we hadn't had lunch!) and the track was too tricky for us to walk all the way back to the car, so we got Daddy to run back (another way) and drive it back to us. While we were waiting, we played on this little beach and made some sand creatures. Then Daddy came back and we went to get some lunch at Begur. It was delicious. Then we went home and we saw this amazing sunset with birds flying all around (I thought there was about a million birds!).

The next day we went on another big walk to this castle on top of a hill. It was really cool. I loved walking around the outside of the castle walls. You could walk the whole way around the top. I love heights! On the way down, Mummy and I raced Esther and Daddy down the mountain. Mummy and I won in a fair race because Esther and Daddy took thousands of shortcuts. We also saw some more wild mountain goats! Daddy thinks they were babies, but I don't know. They were different from the other type but they were still cute. I think there were about 20 of them. After the walk we went to a new beach called L'Estartit. I made a sand zoo with swans, penguins, ants and echidnas. Daddy, Mummy and Esther played soccer on the beach.

The next morning we had to get up really early and leave L'Escala. We went back to Cabrera to meet Nuri to get some paperwork for our visas. After we had sorted that out we went rock climbing. They took pictures of us for their instagram. I LOVED climbing the walls. We stayed there until we were hungry. So we went to find some lunch. After lunch we went to the skatepark. I found the pump track so much fun. Plus we were the only ones there!

After we had finished skating we went back to Nuri and Jan's house. We moved our bags inside and had a rest when we got there. We also played with their dogs. After a little while we went to these tortoises (tortuga in Spanish) they had! The tortoises were small and their shells were really smooth. I thought they were adorable when they poked their heads out. I loved holding it, it was sooo cute! But sadly we had to leave and go and see some CHICKENS! We went up this path to Julia's aunty's house and they had chickens. I loved holding them but they also had a rooster who was double the size of the chickens! The chickens were adorable and I loved cuddling them, but they weren't quite as adorable as Pipi and Banana. And the rooster was big and noisy. Then Esther and I went to the pet store with Jan to get some food for Nuts. We saw birds and fish and bunnies and guinea pigs and even one teensy turtle! And I got a bone to give to Nuts!

After the pet store, we went to Luna's cousin's house to pick up Pia. Her baby brother Noah was so happy and funny. I liked watching him trying to open the bin in the toilet :) . We took Pia back to Nuri and Jan's house to have dinner, play on the trampoline and play with us. At dinner Nil and Nuria came too. After dinner they all had to go, except us! We stayed the night.

The next morning we had to go to Mataro for our visas. Jan came with us. They took our finger prints and I got my visa done first. We were so happy to have them done! Then Jan took us back to his house, we packed up and started driving to Peniscola, our next stop! On the way we stopped at the delta. The delta is a place with lots of rivers. It can flood sometimes. We had a look around, got some food and continued to Peniscola.

Pensicola was really cool! We saw a castle and this nice beach. It had everything we liked!

When we woke up this morning we went to the castle. It was HUGE! I loved going up the high towers and down the mysterious steps. I also LOVED the garden. Then we got some food for lunch and walked to this national park. There were heaps of beaches and rocks. I loved playing on the rocks. We found some really cool ones too! Then we went to the beach. Esther and I played for a while and then it was time to go home and start writing this! The End.
