Day 1 Today we got up early and finished packing our huge green backpacks while Dada went to ge Pia (our car). We he got back we packed everything into Pia and set off to..... Mercadona ! Mercadona??? Ohhh, we just went there to get some car snacks, our real stop was ages away! After grabbing some pringles we set off for real. We drove for hours and hours through very smoky and dusty hills. Some of the fields were black from where the fires had been the days before. After many hours we arrived at Merida , an very old town with lots of amazing Roman ruins . We found a restaurant near a cool Roman arch and had some lunch. It must always be crazy hot in Merida because there are water misters along all the streets to keep you cool. We continued our journey to Salamanca !
