On Friday and Saturday 2 major things happened and I'm going to tell you about them!!! Friday the 14th of March we dressed up for school. I had to dress up as a Roman and Esther had to dress up as a Carthaginian!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!      Then we went to school and at like 12:30 the whole school got into a line and we all walked around the town with our costumes on!!! It was really fun there was music and heaps of people watching us and Muma and Dadda were there to!!! Lots of people had instruments like whistles, drums and kazoos. Unfortunately my carnaval whistle broke before the parade :(  Did you think that was all carnaval was? Nope! On Saturday the 15th of March at like 5:00pm, we put on a fancy dress and went the town square:|  And when we got there . . .  There were heaps of people dressed up, really loud music and stores selling beers, lollies, balloons, spray shaving cream stuff and lots of other things! We danced...

SCHOOL

Hey guys! Guess what???  We have started school here and I want to tell you some of the most important things about it (tips, differences, similarities!)!!! 1. Schools in Spain don't let you know what you need to buy before you start. This is annoying because you don't have what you need and your mum needs to go shopping for something else every day!   2. Our schools name is Los Bateles! Los Bateles is the name of the beach in Conil.  3. Always ask everyone there name on the first day... maybe even more than once! (I missed out on this one :( ) 4. Be prepared for hard names! For example some of my friends names are Lura  and Guadalupe  (in English I think you will spell it like Walalupe with a accent over the E ) and Carla!!! 5. Some lessons are called something else for example at my school there is E.F.= PE                                          ...

I have been very busy these last 2 weeks.  But there were 4 main things that stood out: going to Portugal, Sevilla and got our residency cards in Mataro plus we went to the carnaval in Conil!    CARNAVAL CONIL In Spain they do this carnival. The carnival (carnaval in Spanish) has lots of bits to it but the bit we saw were these people who got into groups with their friends and put on matching costumes and sing a funny song! We saw heaps of groups perform but my favourite was probably some guys pretending to be paratroopers! I really liked listening to the songs even though I couldn't understand them. The paratroopers even threw loads of confetti on us!  RESIDENCY CARDS           On Monday the 24th we woke up early got ready and hopped  in the car for 2 hours to the airport of Sevilla! At the airport we went through security and we ended up getting on the plane before it got light! The plane took us to Barcelona were we caught an hour tra...
